Octavia Hill: a forgotten philanthropist
Not many people have heard of Victorian social reformer, Octavia Hill, a situation Octavia Housing & Care was looking to change when it asked Blue Zebra to provide PR support for two events.
Our challenge was to achieve national media coverage for both events. Once again, we exceeded our client’s expectations….
We worked with the media to provide strong news stories and feature opportunities and, of course, invited journalists to both events. Our chosen news angles included a speech by Lord Best (Director of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation) and HRH The Princess Royal unveiling plans for a garden created by the designers of the Diana, Princess of Wales memorial gardens.
Results included articles in The Guardian (half a page), The Times and attendance by The Daily Telegraph, as well as extensive coverage across the housing and voluntary sector media.
